May 17th is a week away from today. It'll be just like most days, except four Irish motorcyclists will invade the southern USA.

Mick & Rita, Tom and Mark (see: http://cbroarusatrip.blogspot.com/  for the story on Mark's last trip - thought he'd have learned his lesson, but he's coming back anyway) will join me on a 10 day ride throughout Tennessee, North Carolina and Georgia. We might make it to Alabama as well, but not promising anything.

Joining us will be a host of my biking bud's from various parts of the US. Couple of guys from Detroit, one from Chicago and maybe another from Cincinnati will come and go over the time we're in Tennessee.

We will try to post daily updates here so friends back Ireland (a.k.a. Oregon) can follow along and kick themselves in the ass for not coming along on the trip. Maybe next year.

We'll be based in Tennessee, near the Smoky Mountains....

Specifically, we'll be staying in Townsend, TN....

This location will give us easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Deal's Gap, the Cherohala Skyway, Suches, GA, Highland, NC - all of the biking hot spots.

We'll all meet up in Knoxville next Saturday. Stay tuned....
